Dog Games-tried, tested, and truely fynny

'Around the house game' : Our house, like most, has a central supporting wall with living area around it. We start by making eye contact and freezing for a moment; one of us walks around the house so the dog can't see. GAME ON. Barking precedes the swift physical reaction of the large dogs. Fluid movements, massive power, similar to a cutting horse. These guys, however, are unbridled. They make an attempt to turn a corner on the laminate flooring, have you ever seen a 140 lb dog drift into a door? Pretty funny.
Once one of the dogs has started playing the others will join in and then they'll start jumping on each other and making all sorts of gutural rrrrrrs and inch long fangs sink gently into relaxed skin. White, black, pink, gray, all blurred and spinning. Suddenly the dogs have had enough and they each pick a place to lay - sometimes on top of one another - and proceed to fall asleep.

I will return with more 'tails' of the webbdogs and they're fun games.

  1. We too own 2 Great Danes They are a brother and sister. The male is my baby. He is a harlequin and his sister belongs to my daughter/ she is a merle. They were 5 yrs old on Sept 19. They have spent their whole lives together and are so connected to one another it is amazing. There is nothing like a dane.
