Baseball Park

Last night I took Molson, the Great Dane that has floppy ears, and Pepsi, my little white Boxer, to the local baseball game in which I had family playing ball. In an effort to maintain control I kept their leashes attached but I still allowed the natural canine curiousity to be investigated, within a metre or two of myself. I walked where I wanted when I wanted and the dogs simply followed me without hesitation. I removed their leashes when I was satisfied that they would behave as I expected them to. As I allowed them to run and wrestle with each other in the unemployed feild beside the baseball diamond, noises filled the windy air that sounded ferocious. They were merely playing the way they usually do, jumping and snarling with frequent tumbles to the ground. Several new people showed a trace of concern at these noises so I called, "Hey, relax!". Almost immediately the dogs became like the other four or five dogs at the park, sniffing about, looking around, and being great companions. When I wanted them back on their leashes I knelt down on the lush green grass, called them , and they trotted over. I take great pride in these dogs.
